"Patton" Testimonial
"Marty Ayo's artistic ability is indeed extraordinary; she hand-painted an exquisitely beautiful likeness of my granddaughter on porcelain--not an easy or forgiving art medium! This beautiful box is a true treasure for our entire family, and will be so for future generations to come."

"Foster" Testimonial

The Lady in Blue – she was so extraordinarily beautiful and I found myself being pulled back to her time after time while perusing the internet looking at many, many pieces of Limoges. Being in love with the Victorian age, I knew from the moment I saw her that Marty would grace a Limoges curio box with a portrait of Granny. Granny is Irene Rogers Vargas and my husband’s grandmother. Steve brought his granny a bouquet of flowers every week while growing up and was very close to her.

Marty accepted the commission and it was for our 25th wedding anniversary. I was so excited and it was hard to not "spill the beans" before September 21st. Marty became our friend from the very start and we spoke on the phone quite often while she got to know Granny. Marty gave Steve a portrait of Granny that is beautiful beyond words and brought tears to not only her grandson’s eyes, but also her daughter’s, upon seeing it. My mother-in-law is 82 years young and her words were, "she looks just like my mother!"

This particular photo of Granny is extra special as it was taken at a supper club in Santa Monica called Ben Blues that Steve, his mother and Granny had gone to for the evening. Thank you Marty for accepting this commission and giving our family an heirloom for many generations to come. We love her!

Taylor" Testimonial

After my grandson, Taylor, died of crib death, I commissioned Marty to paint his portrait on a small brooch. I thought I would wear Taylor’s portrait in place of the 1-1/2" x 1" angel brooch which I usually wore. When I saw the completed portrait, the likeness of Taylor was breathtaking. I knew then that I had to give the portrait to my daughter, Taylor’s mother. The portrait was much too special to be worn.

The portrait of Taylor is set upon my daughter’s desk—mounted on a blue suede mat in a very small gold frame. She was thrilled to have this remembrance of her baby, and I was happy to be able to give it to her.

"Adam" Testimonial

My grandmother was the first person to introduce me to the art form of hand-painted china. She painted many beautiful pieces that I have collected and treasured over the last fifteen years. I have also searched antique shops and collected hand-painted porcelain over the years, so I recognize a gifted artist when I see one. Marty is one of the most talented artists I have come across in fifteen years. After collecting many of her pieces, I commissioned her to paint a portrait of my little boy. She has captured his personality beautifully in this portrait, even down to the curve of his mouth and the sparkle in his eyes. As a china-painter myself, I know how difficult portrait painting is, and I am amazed at the likeness to the photograph she painted. In my extensive collection of hand-painted porcelain, this work of art will always be the most special, that is, until she completes portraits of my other two children!
